4	6		AN ACT
5	7		relating to the permissible uses of the floodplain management
6	8		account.
7	9		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
8	10		SECTION 1. Section 16.3161(c), Water Code, is amended to
9	11		read as follows:
10	12		(c) The board may use the account to fund the performance
11	13		of:
12	14		(1) the board's functions under Section 16.316; or
13	15		(2) any other activities related to:
14	16		(A) the collection and analysis of flood-related
15	17		information;
16	18		(B) flood planning, protection, mitigation, or
17		-	adaptation;
	19	+	adaptation; or
18	20		(C) the provision of flood-related information
19		-	to the public through educational or outreach programs; or
20		-	(D) evaluating the response to and mitigation of
21		-	flood incidents affecting residential property, including
22		-	multi-family units, located in floodplains.
