| 12 | 12 | Sec. 222.112. CONSIDERATION OF FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT | |
| 13 | 13 | PROJECT REQUIRED. The commission by rule shall adopt procedures to | |
| 14 | 14 | require that, for each state highway system project proposed to be a | |
| 15 | 15 | toll project, including a managed lane project, the department | |
| 16 | 16 | consider financing and operating the project as financially | |
| 17 | 17 | independent and not part of a system. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
