| 8 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 14 | SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 370, Transportation Code, | |
| 10 | 15 | is amended by adding Section 370.194 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 16 | Sec. 370.194. USE OF TOLL PROJECTS BY PUBLIC SCHOOL BUSES. | |
| 12 | 17 | (a) An authority may not require a school bus exempt from | |
| 13 | 18 | registration fees under Section 502.453 to pay a toll for use of an | |
| 14 | 19 | authority toll project. | |
| 15 | 20 | (b) This section does not affect the ability of an authority | |
| 16 | 21 | to adopt policies or rules regarding the use of the authority's | |
| 17 | 22 | facilities, including policies or rules prohibiting the use of the | |
| 18 | 23 | authority's facilities by vehicles unable to maintain minimum | |
| 19 | 24 | designated travel speeds. | |
