64 AN ACT
75 relating to the bulk purchase of information technology commodity
86 items by the Department of Information Resources.
97 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
108 SECTION 1. Section 2157.068, Government Code, is amended by
119 adding Subsection (e-3) to read as follows:
1210 (e-3) The procedural requirements of Subsection (e-1) and
1311 the limitation prescribed by Subsection (e-2) do not apply to a
1412 department contract for the bulk purchase of commodity items
1513 intended for use by more than one state agency.
1614 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1715 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1816 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
1917 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2018 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
