| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2054.133, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (e) Each state agency shall include in the agency's | |
| 13 | 13 | information security plan a written acknowledgment that the | |
| 14 | 14 | executive director or other head of the state agency, the chief | |
| 15 | 15 | financial officer, and each executive manager as designated by the | |
| 16 | 16 | state agency have been made aware of the risks revealed during the | |
| 17 | 17 | preparation of the agency's information security plan. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
