| 9 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 434, Government Code, is |

| 11 | 9 | | amended by adding Section 434.024 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 10 | | Sec. 434.024. INFORMATION REGARDING VETERAN'S EMPLOYMENT |
|---|
| 13 | 11 | | PREFERENCE POLICIES. The commission shall make available on its |
|---|
| 14 | 12 | | website a list of each private employer who has provided notice |
|---|
| 15 | 13 | | under Section 23.002(c), Labor Code, regarding a veteran's |
|---|
| 16 | 14 | | employment preference policy. |
|---|
| 17 | 15 | | SECTION 2. Section 23.002, Labor Code, is amended by adding |
|---|
| 18 | 16 | | Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 19 | 17 | | (c) A private employer may provide notice to the Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 18 | | Workforce Commission or the Texas Veterans Commission that the |
|---|
| 21 | 19 | | employer has adopted a policy under this section. |
|---|
| 22 | 20 | | SECTION 3. Subchapter D, Chapter 301, Labor Code, is |
|---|
| 23 | 21 | | amended by adding Section 301.070 to read as follows: |

| 24 | 22 | | Sec. 301.070. INFORMATION REGARDING VETERAN'S EMPLOYMENT |

| 25 | 23 | | PREFERENCE POLICIES. The commission shall make available on its |
