| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 67.004, Election Code, is amended by |

| 14 | 14 | | adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |

| 15 | 15 | | (g) The presiding officer of the canvassing authority shall |

| 16 | 16 | | note the completion of the canvass in the minutes or in the |

| 17 | 17 | | recording required by Section 551.021, Government Code. |
