| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 3 | 3 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Douglas and Jane Lee |

| 4 | 4 | | of Mineola celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | September 11, 2015; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee were joined in matrimony in 1965 |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at a ceremony held in Mineola; through the years, they have been |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | blessed with a treasured family that includes their children, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Theresa Meazell and her husband, Billy, Vance Lee and his wife, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Elli, and Kimberly Bates and her husband, David, as well as six |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | grandchildren, Lee Caldwell, Erica Crane, Kelby and Brooke |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Bates, Cameron Crane, and Harrison Lee; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Lee has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | owned Lee's Paint and Body Shop for more than three decades, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Mrs. Lee is retired from her post as a department manager at |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Walmart; today, she serves as a volunteer at her church; in their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | leisure hours, the couple take pleasure in spending time with |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | their family and taking the occasional casino trip; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lee have enjoyed five decades of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Doug and Jane Lee of Mineola on |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 26 | 26 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
