| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Kresten L. Cook, who is retiring after more than 30 |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | years of loyal service as deputy to the commander of the Corpus |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Christi Army Depot; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kresten Cook began his career at the Corpus |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Christi Army Depot as an industrial engineer in 1983, and he |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | advanced into several leadership positions in such areas as |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | engineering, business development, and production; he served as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | acting deputy to the commander in 2003 and was promoted to head of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | maintenance operations in 2010; he is retiring after more than |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | six years of service as the permanent deputy to the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | commander; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his exemplary career, Mr. Cook |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | has gained recognition for initiating the Business Development |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Office, establishing the first partnerships between the depot |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and original equipment manufacturers, and leading the depot's |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Production Control and Programs Divisions; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Cook is a distinguished leader who is highly |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | respected by his colleagues; he has helped to set new standards |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | for success at the Corpus Christi Army Depot, and his presence |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Kresten L. Cook on his exemplary |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | career at the Corpus Christi Army Depot and extend to him best |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
