SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 121 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Kresten L. Cook, who is retiring after more than 30 years of loyal service as deputy to the commander of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; and WHEREAS, Kresten Cook began his career at the Corpus Christi Army Depot as an industrial engineer in 1983, and he advanced into several leadership positions in such areas as engineering, business development, and production; he served as acting deputy to the commander in 2003 and was promoted to head of maintenance operations in 2010; he is retiring after more than six years of service as the permanent deputy to the commander; and WHEREAS, Over the course of his exemplary career, Mr. Cook has gained recognition for initiating the Business Development Office, establishing the first partnerships between the depot and original equipment manufacturers, and leading the depot's Production Control and Programs Divisions; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cook is a distinguished leader who is highly respected by his colleagues; he has helped to set new standards for success at the Corpus Christi Army Depot, and his presence will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby commend Kresten L. Cook on his exemplary career at the Corpus Christi Army Depot and extend to him best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
