SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 249
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize all associated with Leadership Lewisville for their
outstanding efforts to provide an effective leadership program
and to promote a prosperous future for their community and the
state; and
WHEREAS, An initiative of the Lewisville Area Chamber of
Commerce, Leadership Lewisville is a nine-month community
leadership program created to identify, educate, and motivate
future leaders; and
WHEREAS, The program is facilitated by notable members of
the local community who provide invaluable information and
stimulate discussions that help participants develop and polish
their leadership skills, cultivate new relationships, and gain a
better understanding of their community's unique needs; and
WHEREAS, Through their efforts to promote a spirit of
volunteerism and community pride, Leadership Lewisville
organizers are fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry,
while at the same time, helping to build a brighter and more
prosperous future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend the administrators, staff, and
sponsors of Leadership Lewisville for helping to inspire the
community leaders of tomorrow and extend to all best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
