SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 332
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Perry Homes on the occasion of the company's 50th
anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Perry Homes was founded in Houston by Bob Perry
in 1967 to meet the area's need for well-built homes at
reasonable prices; today, the company is active in more than 60
communities in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding, this family-owned and
family-operated business has built a reputation as one of the
most trusted home builders in the state; it ranks as one of the
top 25 home builders and one of the top 10 largest privately owned
home builders in the nation; and
WHEREAS, The continued success of Perry Homes is a
reflection of the company's focus on its core values of quality,
exceptional customer service, character, and integrity; this
exemplary company is truly deserving of special recognition as it
reaches this milestone in its history; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Perry Homes on its commitment to
building quality, affordable housing and extend to its owners,
management, and employees best wishes for a memorable 50th
anniversary celebration; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
