SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 634
In Memory
of
Hernan Ilufi Orellana
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
commemorates the life of Hernan Ilufi "Tito" Orellana, who died
April 3, 2017, at the age of 75; and
WHEREAS, Hernan Orellana was an exemplary gentleman who was
respected and admired in his community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Orellana was born May 6, 1941, in Chile; he
was known throughout the Brownsville community for his
generosity and his willingness to help others; he was also an
avid reader, and he took great pleasure in listening to classical
music and watching classic films; and
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, his engaging sense of
humor, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will
long be remembered by those who were privileged to share in his
life; and
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather,
and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Hernan Ilufi Orellana; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Hernan Ilufi Orellana.
