SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 636
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Andrew Asdell and Joe LeBlanc on the joyous occasion of
their marriage; and
WHEREAS, Joe LeBlanc and Andrew Asdell married on April 8,
2017; they first met in 2014 at the Gay Christian Network
conference in Chicago, and they maintained a deepening
long-distance relationship until Andrew completed his master's
degree and moved to Austin in 2015; Joe proposed to Andrew in
Fredericksburg on August 15, 2016; and
WHEREAS, The newlyweds are looking forward to spending a
lifetime sharing their love and mutual respect, and their marriage
brings great happiness to their families and friends; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Senate wishes to express warmest
greetings to Andrew Asdell and Joe LeBlanc as they begin their
new life together; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Joe LeBlanc and
Andrew Asdell and wish them many years of happiness together;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the couple as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
