| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Jan and Kay |

| 3 | 3 | | Heining made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their |

| 4 | 4 | | mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they are celebrating |

| 5 | 5 | | their 45th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2017; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, They met when Kay was a teacher for the United |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | States Department of Defense and Jan was a United States Air |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Force pilot assigned to the Royal Air Force Woodbridge |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | station; they were married on April 29, 1972, in Suffolk County, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | England; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Heining were blessed with two |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | children, and during Mr. Heining's military career, the family |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | experienced life in five states and two foreign countries; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Heining served with distinction and retired |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | from the air force with the rank of colonel; after they retired, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Jan and Kay moved to San Antonio; they are respected members of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | their community, and they enjoy traveling together and spending |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | time with their three grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Heining are beloved by many, and the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | loving relationship they share is an inspiration to all who know |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | them; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Jan and Kay Heining on their |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 45th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them |
