SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 640
WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Jan and Kay
Heining made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their
mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they are celebrating
their 45th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2017; and
WHEREAS, They met when Kay was a teacher for the United
States Department of Defense and Jan was a United States Air
Force pilot assigned to the Royal Air Force Woodbridge
station; they were married on April 29, 1972, in Suffolk County,
England; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Heining were blessed with two
children, and during Mr. Heining's military career, the family
experienced life in five states and two foreign countries; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Heining served with distinction and retired
from the air force with the rank of colonel; after they retired,
Jan and Kay moved to San Antonio; they are respected members of
their community, and they enjoy traveling together and spending
time with their three grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Heining are beloved by many, and the
loving relationship they share is an inspiration to all who know
them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Jan and Kay Heining on their
45th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them
as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
