SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 647
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
welcome Daikin Industries, Limited, to the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Daikin Industries is a world leader in the
manufacture of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
equipment and refrigerants; the company currently operates 213
consolidated subsidiaries and 80 production bases in locations
around the world; and
WHEREAS, In 2015, the company broke ground on its largest
North American investment to date, the $400 million Daikin Texas
Technology Park in Waller; with an area of more than 4.1 million
square feet, this impressive new facility is designed to utilize
state-of-the-art technology to combine the manufacturing,
engineering, logistics, marketing, and sales of a variety of
heating and air conditioning products under one roof; and
WHEREAS, Daikin Industries is expected to provide more
than 4,000 new jobs in multiple disciplines to the Houston area
by 2018; it is truly fitting that this outstanding company
receive special recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby welcome Daikin Industries, Limited, to Texas
and extend to its management and staff best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
