| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Benjamin O'Neill Seago has recently been honored |

| 3 | 3 | | by the Boy Scout program for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, a |

| 4 | 4 | | rank achieved by only a small percentage of boys in the program; |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding leadership |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | through the planning and execution of a service project that has |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | benefited his community; he raised more than $3,000 in donated |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | funds and materials and guided a team of volunteers in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | constructing a courtyard cafeteria deck with wheelchair access |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | for the children at Saint Joseph Catholic School; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Benjamin advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | promise; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | troop, his community, and his state; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Benjamin is an exceptional representative of the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Benjamin O'Neill Seago on earning |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great |

| 25 | 25 | | achievement; and, be it further |
