                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 711
 In Memory
 of
 Harrison Brown
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 citizens of Graham in mourning the loss of Harrison Brown, who
 died May 1, 2017; and
 WHEREAS, Harrison Brown was an exemplary young man whose
 many achievements and great potential were an inspiration to all
 those who were privileged to share in his life; and
 WHEREAS, Harrison was a 2016 graduate of Graham High School,
 where he ran cross country, participated in one-act play, and
 played trumpet in the Rompin' Stompin' Big Blue Band; he was voted
 by his fellow students as class favorite, and the school's faculty
 named him Mr. GHS, the school's most outstanding student; and
 WHEREAS, He was a source of pride and joy for his parents,
 Kurt and Lori Brown, and a source of strength and comfort for his
 brother, John; and
 WHEREAS, The death of one so young is a great tragedy, for
 in the faces of the young we see the hope and promise of our
 future; Harrison's unique spirit, and the joy he brought to
 others, will continue to live well beyond his life; and
 WHEREAS, A devoted son and loving brother, he gave
 unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit, his boundless
 energy, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest
 will not be forgotten by his family and countless friends; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Harrison Brown; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Harrison Brown.
