| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Todd Moulder, who has been selected as a finalist for |

| 4 | 4 | | the 2017 H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Award in the secondary education category; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An educator for more than two decades, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Mr. Moulder is currently an eighth-grade English teacher at |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Marvin P. Baker Middle School; he is beloved by his students, and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | his innovative teaching style has helped instill in them a love |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of learning and the motivation they need to excel in their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | studies; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Moulder fosters a culture of professional |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | success at the school through his work with the school's |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | instructional council, International Baccalaureate leadership |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | team, and staff development team; he also serves as chair of the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | school's language arts department and has played an integral role |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | in designing its curriculum; he contributes to the school |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | district by serving as a member of several committees that work |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | to promote diversity, inclusion, and high academic performance |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | standards; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Moulder exemplifies the highest ideals of a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | community leader and an educator, and he has been honored as a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Teacher of the Year on multiple occasions; he is one of only five |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | teachers in the State of Texas to be chosen as a finalist for the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Lifetime Achievement Award in the secondary education category, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and he can indeed take pride in his outstanding accomplishments; |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby commend Todd Moulder for his exemplary work |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | on behalf of his students, his colleagues, and his community and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | congratulate him on being selected as a finalist for the 2017 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award in the |
