SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 748
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Todd Moulder, who has been selected as a finalist for
the 2017 H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement
Award in the secondary education category; and
WHEREAS, An educator for more than two decades,
Mr. Moulder is currently an eighth-grade English teacher at
Marvin P. Baker Middle School; he is beloved by his students, and
his innovative teaching style has helped instill in them a love
of learning and the motivation they need to excel in their
studies; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moulder fosters a culture of professional
success at the school through his work with the school's
instructional council, International Baccalaureate leadership
team, and staff development team; he also serves as chair of the
school's language arts department and has played an integral role
in designing its curriculum; he contributes to the school
district by serving as a member of several committees that work
to promote diversity, inclusion, and high academic performance
standards; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moulder exemplifies the highest ideals of a
community leader and an educator, and he has been honored as a
Teacher of the Year on multiple occasions; he is one of only five
teachers in the State of Texas to be chosen as a finalist for the
Lifetime Achievement Award in the secondary education category,
and he can indeed take pride in his outstanding accomplishments;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Todd Moulder for his exemplary work
on behalf of his students, his colleagues, and his community and
congratulate him on being selected as a finalist for the 2017
H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award in the
secondary education category; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
