2	2	WHEREAS, Proud members of the Texas Cattle Feeders
3	3	Association are gathering at the State Capitol in Austin to
4	4	celebrate the association's 50th anniversary on May 18, 2017; and
5	5	WHEREAS, A national leader in animal care and health, food
6	6	safety, environmental stewardship, and trade policy, the Texas
7	7	Cattle Feeders Association works to advance the economic,
8	8	political, and social interests of the cattle feeding industry in
9	9	Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico; and
10	10	WHEREAS, Beef from association feed yards is highly sought
11	11	after across the nation and around the world, and the annual
12	12	economic impact of cattle feeding on the State of Texas alone is
13	13	in the billions of dollars; and
14	14	WHEREAS, The Texas Cattle Feeders Association plays a
15	15	dynamic and vital role in the prosperity of the Lone Star State,
16	16	and the association's members may indeed take great pride in
17	17	their half century of achievement; now, therefore, be it
18	18	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
19	19	Legislature, hereby recognize May 18, 2017, as Texas Cattle
20	20	Feeders Association Day at the State Capitol in commemoration of
21	21	the organization's 50th anniversary; and, be it further
22	22	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
23	23	the Texas Cattle Feeders Association as an expression of high
24	24	regard from the Texas Senate.
