                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 766
 WHEREAS, Proud members of the Texas Cattle Feeders
 Association are gathering at the State Capitol in Austin to
 celebrate the association's 50th anniversary on May 18, 2017; and
 WHEREAS, A national leader in animal care and health, food
 safety, environmental stewardship, and trade policy, the Texas
 Cattle Feeders Association works to advance the economic,
 political, and social interests of the cattle feeding industry in
 Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico; and
 WHEREAS, Beef from association feed yards is highly sought
 after across the nation and around the world, and the annual
 economic impact of cattle feeding on the State of Texas alone is
 in the billions of dollars; and
 WHEREAS, The Texas Cattle Feeders Association plays a
 dynamic and vital role in the prosperity of the Lone Star State,
 and the association's members may indeed take great pride in
 their half century of achievement; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
 Legislature, hereby recognize May 18, 2017, as Texas Cattle
 Feeders Association Day at the State Capitol in commemoration of
 the organization's 50th anniversary; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 the Texas Cattle Feeders Association as an expression of high
 regard from the Texas Senate.
