| 3 | 3 | | recognize The Red Brick Tavern in Conroe, which has been named |

| 4 | 4 | | the winner of the Best Burger in Town contest at the 2nd Annual |

| 5 | 5 | | Throwdown Texas Burger and Music Fest at The Woodlands; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Throwdown Texas Burger and Music Fest was held |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | on April 29, 2017, at Town Green Park; a portion of the proceeds |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | from the festival benefited the Montgomery County Food Bank; in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | addition to the burger competition, the event featured a wide |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | range of family-friendly activities and offered live music, a kid |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | zone, face painting, and shopping from a variety of vendors; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Red Brick Tavern is located in downtown Conroe |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and offers upscale comfort food, along with craft beers and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | cocktails that can be enjoyed while listening to the best in Texas |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | country music; in the contest, each of the burgers was judged in the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | categories of presentation, taste, and creativity, and the tavern's |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | award-winning burger topped its competitors; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Red Brick Tavern is truly deserving of special |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | recognition for earning first place in the Best Burger in Town |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | contest; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend the owners, staff, and management of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | The Red Brick Tavern on their commitment to quality food and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | service and extend congratulations to all on winning the Best |
