SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 780
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize The Red Brick Tavern in Conroe, which has been named
the winner of the Best Burger in Town contest at the 2nd Annual
Throwdown Texas Burger and Music Fest at The Woodlands; and
WHEREAS, The Throwdown Texas Burger and Music Fest was held
on April 29, 2017, at Town Green Park; a portion of the proceeds
from the festival benefited the Montgomery County Food Bank; in
addition to the burger competition, the event featured a wide
range of family-friendly activities and offered live music, a kid
zone, face painting, and shopping from a variety of vendors; and
WHEREAS, The Red Brick Tavern is located in downtown Conroe
and offers upscale comfort food, along with craft beers and
cocktails that can be enjoyed while listening to the best in Texas
country music; in the contest, each of the burgers was judged in the
categories of presentation, taste, and creativity, and the tavern's
award-winning burger topped its competitors; and
WHEREAS, The Red Brick Tavern is truly deserving of special
recognition for earning first place in the Best Burger in Town
contest; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend the owners, staff, and management of
The Red Brick Tavern on their commitment to quality food and
service and extend congratulations to all on winning the Best
Burger in Town contest; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the tavern as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
