| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Robert Rosell, who has been named president and chief |

| 4 | 4 | | executive officer of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Rosell joins the Greater Mission Chamber of |

| 6 | 6 | | Commerce after having served as a corporate compliance officer |

| 7 | 7 | | for BBVA Compass, where he was responsible for maintaining and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | improving many of the company's major programs, product and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | service development, marketing and training materials, policies, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and procedures; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, He also brings to his position a wealth of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | experience with such notable community and professional |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | organizations as Leadership McAllen, the Deep South Texas |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Financial Literacy Alliance, the United Way of South Texas, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas--Pan |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | American with a master's degree in Public Administration, he is |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | noted for his team-building and communications skills; his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | belief in the importance of creating and sustaining healthy |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | relationships with the community will play a vital role in his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | success as the leader of the chamber; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Robert Rosell on his many |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | achievements and extend to him best wishes for the future as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | president and chief executive officer of the Greater Mission |
