SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 842 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Robert Rosell, who has been named president and chief executive officer of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rosell joins the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce after having served as a corporate compliance officer for BBVA Compass, where he was responsible for maintaining and improving many of the company's major programs, product and service development, marketing and training materials, policies, and procedures; and WHEREAS, He also brings to his position a wealth of experience with such notable community and professional organizations as Leadership McAllen, the Deep South Texas Financial Literacy Alliance, the United Way of South Texas, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas; and WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas--Pan American with a master's degree in Public Administration, he is noted for his team-building and communications skills; his belief in the importance of creating and sustaining healthy relationships with the community will play a vital role in his success as the leader of the chamber; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th Legislature, hereby commend Robert Rosell on his many achievements and extend to him best wishes for the future as president and chief executive officer of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
