| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Father William Dickerson of Saint Stephen's |

| 3 | 3 | | Anglican Catholic Church in Richardson served as Chaplain of the |

| 4 | 4 | | Day for the Texas Senate on April 10, 2017; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Father Dickerson attended Northeastern |

| 6 | 6 | | University in Boston, where he graduated summa cum laude, and he |

| 7 | 7 | | also studied theology at Ohio Dominican University and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | participated in the clinical pastoral education program at Mount |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Carmel Health System in Ohio; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed religious leader has served |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | parishes in the Anglican Catholic Church for more than 15 years; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | in addition, he is the vicar general for the Anglican Catholic |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Church Diocese of New Orleans; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, William Dickerson exemplifies the highest ideals |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | of his vocation, and through the years, he has inspired countless |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | individuals with his message of faith and goodwill; now, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby honor Father William Dickerson for his |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | service as Chaplain of the Day and extend to him sincere best |

| 21 | 21 | | wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be |
