SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 882
WHEREAS, Father William Dickerson of Saint Stephen's
Anglican Catholic Church in Richardson served as Chaplain of the
Day for the Texas Senate on April 10, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Father Dickerson attended Northeastern
University in Boston, where he graduated summa cum laude, and he
also studied theology at Ohio Dominican University and
participated in the clinical pastoral education program at Mount
Carmel Health System in Ohio; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed religious leader has served
parishes in the Anglican Catholic Church for more than 15 years;
in addition, he is the vicar general for the Anglican Catholic
Church Diocese of New Orleans; and
WHEREAS, William Dickerson exemplifies the highest ideals
of his vocation, and through the years, he has inspired countless
individuals with his message of faith and goodwill; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby honor Father William Dickerson for his
service as Chaplain of the Day and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Father Dickerson as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
