| 3 | 3 | | Creek Church in Plano, served as Chaplain of the Day for the Texas |

| 4 | 4 | | Senate on May 8, 2017; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A native of Cherry Point, North Carolina, Robert |

| 6 | 6 | | Posner earned his bachelor's degree in pastoral theology from |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Southeastern Free Will Baptist College in 1992, and that same |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | year, he began his career in ministry as pastor of Lifegate Free |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Will Baptist Church in Tyler; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, For the past 19 years, this respected clergyman |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | has ably led the congregation at Collin Creek Church; in addition |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | to fulfilling his pastoral duties, he also serves as chair of the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Texas Free Will Baptist Mission Board, and over the years, he has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | taken part in numerous international mission trips and taught at |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | conferences and seminaries; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Pastor Posner is blessed |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | with the love and support of his wife of 33 years, Judy, and their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | three children, Bethany Lopez, Anna Keller, and Nathan Posner; he |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | also takes great pride in his grandchildren, Levi, Nolan, Hank, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Dallas, and Denver; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Posner exemplifies the highest |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ideals of his vocation, and he has inspired countless Texans with |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | his message of faith and goodwill; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby honor Robert Posner for his service as |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Chaplain of the Day and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | future; and, be it further |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
