| 8 | 8 | | conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on |

| 9 | 9 | | House Bill 555 (an additional fee for issuing a marriage license |

| 10 | 10 | | to applicants who are not residents of this state and the form of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | a marriage license and application for a marriage license) to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | consider and take action on the following matter: |

| 13 | 13 | | Senate Rule 12.03(1) is suspended to permit the committee |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | to amend text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION 6 of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | bill to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 6. The change in law made by this Act applies |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | only to a marriage license issued on or after January 1, 2019. A |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | marriage license issued before January 1, 2019, is governed by |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the law in effect immediately before the effective date of this |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Act, and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. |

| 21 | 21 | | Explanation: This change is necessary to delay |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | implementation of the bill until January 1, 2019. |
