 SENATE RESOLUTION
 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
 Legislature, Regular Session, 2017, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
 conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
 House Bill 555 (an additional fee for issuing a marriage license
 to applicants who are not residents of this state and the form of
 a marriage license and application for a marriage license) to
 consider and take action on the following matter:
 Senate Rule 12.03(1) is suspended to permit the committee
 to amend text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION 6 of the
 bill to read as follows:
 SECTION 6.  The change in law made by this Act applies
 only to a marriage license issued on or after January 1, 2019. A
 marriage license issued before January 1, 2019, is governed by
 the law in effect immediately before the effective date of this
 Act, and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose.
 Explanation: This change is necessary to delay
 implementation of the bill until January 1, 2019.
