| 6 | 7 | | Gayle Eversole of Houston, who passed away on July 16, 2017, at the |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born to Arthur and Mary Morgan on August 5, 1943, in |

| 9 | 10 | | Dallas, the former Pat Morgan grew up with the companionship of two |

| 10 | 11 | | sisters, JoAnn and Loretta, and a brother, Arthur; she attended Sam |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Houston State University and enjoyed a successful career in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | education, starting out as a teacher in Liberty and going on to |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | serve for more than two decades as a school counselor in the Humble |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, On October 1, 1966, she was joined in matrimony to |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | her college sweetheart, Jerry Eversole, with whom she shared a |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | rewarding marriage that spanned half a century; over the years, the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | couple became the proud parents of two sons, Dayne and Lance, and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | their lives were further enriched by their two grandsons, Hayden |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | and Luke; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Eversole gave back to her community by |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | volunteering at the Star of Hope Mission, and she pursued a number |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | of hobbies, including reading and gardening; she also took great |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | pleasure in going to the beach with her family, hosting holiday |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | gatherings, and catching up with her Alpha Chi Omega Sorority |

| 26 | 27 | | sisters at their annual reunion; and |

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Pat Eversole |

| 28 | 29 | | will remember the way she touched their lives with her warmth, her |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | optimism, and her brilliant smile, and she will forever hold a |

| 30 | 31 | | treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
