| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, For 75 years, residents of Leander have come |

| 6 | 7 | | together to celebrate their faith at the Leander Church of Christ; |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Leander Church of Christ has |

| 9 | 10 | | played a vital role in the lives of its members, providing them with |

| 10 | 11 | | myriad opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | outreach; its numerous ministries include LIFE Groups and a food |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | pantry that is one of the few in the Austin area to be open in the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | evening; the church also conducts Spanish-language worship |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | services and Bible classes and supports a number of missions; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Congregants of the Leander Church of Christ have |

| 16 | 17 | | long benefited from the dedicated efforts of their elders, deacons, |

| 17 | 18 | | and ministers, and the devoted service of those individuals |

| 18 | 19 | | continues to support and nurture this vibrant church community; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Sustained by a common purpose and inspired teaching, |

| 20 | 21 | | the members of the Leander Church of Christ have reached a momentous |

| 21 | 22 | | milestone in the life of their congregation, and it is a pleasure to |

| 22 | 23 | | join with them in celebrating this special occasion; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
