| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The winners of these prestigious annual awards are |

| 9 | 10 | | first nominated for consideration by their fellow faculty members, |

| 10 | 11 | | and those who are subsequently chosen as district Teacher of the |

| 11 | 12 | | Year become eligible for the regional honor; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Drawing on her more than 16 years of experience in |

| 13 | 14 | | education, Ms. Castaños currently teaches fifth-grade English, |

| 14 | 15 | | language arts, and reading at Purple Heart Elementary School in El |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Christina Castaños exemplifies the passion, |
