| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The members of Together We Stand Christian Church in |

| 6 | 7 | | Missouri City are celebrating the 21st anniversary of their |

| 7 | 8 | | church's founding on September 17, 2017; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The church was organized on September 15, 1996, by |

| 9 | 10 | | its current bishop, the Reverend Allen Rice, his wife, Cheryl, and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | two other families, with early services being held in the Rice home; |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | the congregation relocated to a 10,000-square-foot facility on |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Texas Parkway in June 1997, and after purchasing 10 acres of land on |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the same road, Together We Stand moved into its present sanctuary in |

| 14 | 15 | | 2006; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, United by their shared faith and strong traditions, |

| 16 | 17 | | the members of this notable congregation have established a variety |

| 17 | 18 | | of commendable programs that foster fellowship and offer help to |

| 18 | 19 | | those in need; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Countless Missouri City residents have looked to |

| 20 | 21 | | Together We Stand Christian Church for spiritual guidance over the |

| 21 | 22 | | years, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring the church at this |

| 22 | 23 | | special time in its rich history; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commemorate the 21st |
