H.R. No. 200
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Robert Dubey was elected to the Richardson City
Council for Place 1 in May 2017; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dubey brings exceptional credentials to his
service on the council; he has been chair of the city's Charter
Review Commission and chair and vice chair of the Parks and
Recreation Commission, and he is an alumnus of Leadership
Richardson Class XXIV; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Richardson for more than 50 years,
Mr. Dubey is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University; he retired
in 2016 after 40 years with the Richardson Independent School
District, where he was a teacher, a coach, and the district's
athletic director for 17 years; he was also district chair for the
University Interscholastic League and regional director of the
Texas High School Athletic Directors Association, which named him
to its Hall of Honor and as Athletic Director of the Year; he and his
wife, Tammy, have two children and three grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Appreciative of Richardson's exceptional potential,
Robert Dubey is committed to making economic opportunity and a high
quality of life available to all its citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Robert Dubey
on his election to the Richardson City Council and extend to him
sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Dubey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
