| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Jesús Roberto Rodríguez was named president of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A highly regarded educator, Dr. Rodríguez served in |

| 9 | 10 | | administration at Lone Star College and Butler Community College |

| 10 | 11 | | before taking the helm of the Business Center of Excellence at |

| 11 | 12 | | Houston Community College in 2015; previously in his career, he |

| 12 | 13 | | served as executive director of the Maverick County Development |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Corporation and the Maquiladora Association of Acuña; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This engaged civic leader has given generously of |

| 15 | 16 | | his time and talents as a member of the Andover, Wichita Hispanic, |

| 16 | 17 | | and Wichita Metro Chambers of Commerce as well as the Accreditation |

| 18 | 19 | | Committee, the Kansas Council for Workforce Education, The |

| 19 | 20 | | Friendship Center, and many other worthy groups; he holds a |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Rodríguez brings to his new post incisive |
