56 WHEREAS, Elizabeth Eguía-García has been named executive
67 director of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center and vice president of
78 small business for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce;

910 WHEREAS, The daughter and granddaughter of small business
1011 owners, Elí Eguía-García brings to her new positions a wealth of
1112 knowledge and experience from her two decades in the nonprofit
1213 sector, during which time she worked in fund-raising and public
1314 relations for both public and private organizations; and
1415 WHEREAS, This esteemed professional holds a bachelor's
1516 degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a master's degree
1617 from St. Mary's University; in addition, she completed executive
1718 leadership programs with the Harvard University Kennedy School of
1819 Government and the National Hispana Leadership Institute; and
1920 WHEREAS, Over the years, Elí Eguía-García's dedication and
2021 commitment to excellence have greatly benefited her fellow Texans,
2122 and the expertise she has acquired along the way will serve her well
2223 as she takes on these challenging new roles; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2425 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Elizabeth
2526 Eguía-García on being named executive director of the Maestro
2627 Entrepreneur Center and vice president of small business for the
2728 San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and extend to her sincere
2829 best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Ms. Eguía-García as an expression of high regard by
3132 the Texas House of Representatives.
