 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Elizabeth Eguía-García has been named executive
 director of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center and vice president of
 small business for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce;
 and
 WHEREAS, The daughter and granddaughter of small business
 owners, Elí Eguía-García brings to her new positions a wealth of
 knowledge and experience from her two decades in the nonprofit
 sector, during which time she worked in fund-raising and public
 relations for both public and private organizations; and
 WHEREAS, This esteemed professional holds a bachelor's
 degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a master's degree
 from St. Mary's University; in addition, she completed executive
 leadership programs with the Harvard University Kennedy School of
 Government and the National Hispana Leadership Institute; and
 WHEREAS, Over the years, Elí Eguía-García's dedication and
 commitment to excellence have greatly benefited her fellow Texans,
 and the expertise she has acquired along the way will serve her well
 as she takes on these challenging new roles; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Elizabeth
 Eguía-García on being named executive director of the Maestro
 Entrepreneur Center and vice president of small business for the
 San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Eguía-García as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
