| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jason Willett is celebrating 25 years as an attorney |

| 6 | 7 | | in November 2018; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A Texan since 1972, Mr. Willett completed his |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | bachelor's degree in government at The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Austin before going on to graduate from Baylor University School of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Law in 1993; he started his first job that year; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Willett is now a partner in the firm of Wray, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Willett, and Stoffer in Waxahachie; he has focused his practice on |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Ellis County, although he has also handled cases across the state in |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | multiple forums, including arbitration proceedings and the federal |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | court system; for the most part, he represents clients in personal |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | injury suits and complex civil litigation, especially employment |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | law and family law; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Admitted to the United States Supreme Court, as well |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | as to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Districts of Texas, Mr. Willett is a member of the State Bar of |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Texas; he has served as chair of the District 7-B Grievance |

| 22 | 23 | | Committee and as president of the Ellis County Bar Association; |

| 23 | 24 | | moreover, he has demonstrated leadership in the wider community, |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | serving as president of the Waxahachie Lions Club and as a member of |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | a number of boards and foundations; he is an elder of Central |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Presbyterian Church; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Willett enjoys the love |

| 28 | 29 | | and support of his wife, Robin; he is the proud father of three |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | children, Audrey, Camille, and Judson, and he takes great delight |

| 30 | 31 | | in attending their sporting events; in addition, he enjoys playing |

| 31 | 32 | | golf, traveling, and creating new recipes; and |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Jason Willett has garnered the respect and |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | admiration of his colleagues in the legal profession, and as he |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | marks this significant milestone in his career, he may indeed |
|---|
| 35 | 36 | | reflect with pride on his accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |

| 36 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 37 | 38 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jason Willett |

| 38 | 39 | | on his 25th year in the practice of law and extend to him sincere |

| 39 | 40 | | best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
