H.R. No. 65 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Symon Castillo of Ennis on July 5, 2017, at the age of 22, has brought a heartbreaking loss to the family and friends of this beloved young man; and WHEREAS, Born on June 10, 1995, to Nate Castillo and Emma Castillo, Symon Castillo grew up with the companionship of his two sisters, Timpestt and Tatum, and two brothers, R. J. and Channing; he attended Ennis High School and went on to work as a mechanic at Dart Container Corporation, where he shared a bond of camaraderie with his fellow crew members; and WHEREAS, Fun-loving and full of life, Mr. Castillo enjoyed playing softball and baseball, and he deeply treasured the time he spent with his family and friends; he had a radiant smile that reflected his kind, generous heart, and he inspired those around him with his humble nature and his genuine concern for others; these traits led him to make the compassionate decision to register as an organ donor, and this selfless act ultimately helped several individuals, including his own father, who had been on a waiting list for a kidney transplant; and WHEREAS, Although his journey on this earth ended far too soon, Symon Castillo made a profound and unforgettable impression on countless people, and they will forever treasure their memories of the happy times spent in his company; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Symon Castillo and extend deepest condolences to the members of his family: to his mother, Emma Castillo; to his father, Nate Castillo, and stepmother, Cindy Castillo; to his siblings, Timpestt Castillo, Tatum Gallardo and her husband, Tito, R. J. Martinez, and Channing Castillo; to his "Momo," Rachel Cervantes; to his grandparents, Richard and Lucy Castillo; to his uncles and aunts, Oscar and Samantha Cervantes, Arnold Cervantes, Roland Cervantes, Sammy and Patricia Cervantes, Monica Castillo and Danny Palmer, Lisa Castillo and Chris Jennings, and Roland Castillo; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his loved ones and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Symon Castillo.
