| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dan Leal for 15 years of exceptional service as |

| 4 | 4 | | executive director of the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | County; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dan Leal joined the Children's Advocacy Center for |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Denton County after having worked in partnership with the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | organization while employed by the City of Denton; passionate |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | about the center's mission of empowering child abuse victims, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | their families, and the community through education, healing, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and justice, he eagerly accepted an offer to serve as executive |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | director; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Under his exemplary leadership, the center has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | expanded its facilities and staff to better serve the needs of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | abused and neglected children; he has played a vital role in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | making the center financially secure and in raising awareness of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | its programs throughout the community; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Leal has been instrumental in building a team |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | of caring professionals and in creating an environment designed |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with the needs of children in mind; the center has worked with law |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | enforcement agencies and other organizations to ensure that |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | children's needs are the highest priority; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Dan Leal's work has had a profound impact on the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | lives of countless abused and neglected children, and it is |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | truly fitting that he receive special recognition for his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Dan Leal on his |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | outstanding work as executive director of the Children's |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Advocacy Center for Denton County and extend to him best wishes |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
