| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Barbara and |

| 3 | 3 | | Larry Bielss made a lifetime commitment to one another, and their |

| 4 | 4 | | mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they recently |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Barbara and Larry met as high school students |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | while attending a Luther League rally that was being held at |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas; they were |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | married on June 24, 1967; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Although they lived in Germany for a time while |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Mr. Bielss was serving in the United States Army, they have |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | called Central Texas home throughout their married life; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Mr. Bielss worked for many years with Tracor, and Mrs. Bielss had |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a rewarding career at Southwestern University; they both |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | continue to do part-time work in their retirement years; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bielss have been blessed with a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | wonderful family; their son and daughter-in-law, Danny and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Megan, and their two grandchildren are a source of great pride |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and joy; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bielss celebrated their anniversary |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | with a trip to Nashville and a family gathering at their lake |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | house on Lake Buchanan; the love they share is truly an |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | inspiration to all who are privileged to share in their lives; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Barbara and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Larry Bielss on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | them best wishes for many more happy years together; and, be |
