                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 60
 WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Barbara and
 Larry Bielss made a lifetime commitment to one another, and their
 mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they recently
 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and
 WHEREAS, Barbara and Larry met as high school students
 while attending a Luther League rally that was being held at
 Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas; they were
 married on June 24, 1967; and
 WHEREAS, Although they lived in Germany for a time while
 Mr. Bielss was serving in the United States Army, they have
 called Central Texas home throughout their married life;
 Mr. Bielss worked for many years with Tracor, and Mrs. Bielss had
 a rewarding career at Southwestern University; they both
 continue to do part-time work in their retirement years; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bielss have been blessed with a
 wonderful family; their son and daughter-in-law, Danny and
 Megan, and their two grandchildren are a source of great pride
 and joy; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bielss celebrated their anniversary
 with a trip to Nashville and a family gathering at their lake
 house on Lake Buchanan; the love they share is truly an
 inspiration to all who are privileged to share in their lives;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Barbara and
 Larry Bielss on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to
 them best wishes for many more happy years together; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 the couple as a memento of this special day.
