A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the use of paper ballots in countywide polling places.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 43.007, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (e-1) to read as follows:
(e-1) A countywide polling place may have paper ballots
available for each voter who requests a paper ballot, subject to
Subsection (e). The secretary of state may prescribe procedures as
necessary to ensure the efficient implementation of this
subsection.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
