A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the times and dates of meetings of the boards of
directors of certain political subdivisions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 311, Tax Code, is amended by adding
Section 311.022 to read as follows:
Sec. 311.022. BOARD MEETINGS. The board of directors of a
reinvestment zone shall hold all board meetings after regular
business hours or on weekends at reasonable times.
SECTION 2. Subchapter C, Chapter 54, Water Code, is amended
by adding Section 54.104 to read as follows:
Sec. 54.104. BOARD MEETINGS. The board shall hold all board
meetings after regular business hours or on weekends at reasonable
times.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
