10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 301, Occupations Code, is | |
12 | 12 | amended by adding Section 301.2601 to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 301.2601. TEMPORARY LICENSE FOR MILITARY SERVICE | |
14 | 14 | MEMBER, MILITARY VETERAN, OR MILITARY SPOUSE. The board shall | |
15 | 15 | adopt rules to expedite the issuance of a temporary license under | |
16 | 16 | Section 301.260 to an applicant who is a military service member, | |
17 | 17 | military veteran, or military spouse, as those terms are defined by | |
18 | 18 | Section 55.001. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Texas Board | |
20 | 20 | of Nursing shall adopt the rules required by Section 301.2601, | |
21 | 21 | Occupations Code, as added by this Act. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
