A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a prohibition on the sale of prophylactics containing
nitrosamines.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 432, Health and Safety Code, is amended
by adding Section 432.0175 to read as follows:
Sec. 432.0175. SALE OF PROPHYLACTIC CONTAINING
NITROSAMINES PROHIBITED. (a) In this section, "prophylactic"
means a device intended to prevent disease. The term includes a
condom.
(b) A person may not sell a prophylactic containing
nitrosamines in this state.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
