| 8 | 14 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 15 | SECTION 1. Section 253.100(b), Election Code, is amended to | |

| 11 | 17 | (b) A corporation may make political expenditures, | |
| 12 | 18 | including fully or partially matching contributions to an | |
| 13 | 19 | organization that is exempt from federal income tax under Section | |
| 14 | 20 | 501(c)(3), Internal Revenue Code of 1986, to finance the | |
| 15 | 21 | solicitation of political contributions to a general-purpose | |
| 16 | 22 | committee assisted under Subsection (a) from the stockholders, | |
| 17 | 23 | employees, or families of stockholders or employees of one or more | |
| 18 | 24 | corporations. | |
| 19 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | |
